A coffee with… UPP – Right to be forgotten

Fourth Episode – Digital reputation, how and when the right to be forgotten can be exercised

The right to be forgotten is the right to request the cancellation or updating of one's personal data that has been made public by third parties, for example on a website, when this data is no longer relevant, accurate or necessary. This is a right recognized by the EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) to the article 17 and by national and supranational jurisprudence. The right to be forgotten is based on the principle of privacy and must be balanced with the right to freedom of information and expression.

We talk about it with Atty. Elisa Lazzaro and the lawyer. Marcella Esposito also due to the recent reforms.
