Who we are

U.P.P. – “Unione Professionisti Privacy "Is an Association founded with the main purpose of representing professionals who revolve around the world of personal data protection, as known within the sector legislation and in particular in the Regulations (EU) 2016/679 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

As it is known, indeed, the specialist discipline has given rise to various figures, such as DPO (Data Protection Officer), Manager Privacy, Privacy specialists, Privacy evaluators, Privacy Trainers, Auditor Privacy, Privacy Consultant, esperti in cybersecurity. To these are added all those figures that, one way or another, they have developed in companies and professional firms as the "referents" or "persons in charge of data management".

L’U.P.P., organization with a strong female connotation, intends to organize and manage activities of representation and protection of widespread interests in the public administration and legislative bodies in order to promote and improve working conditions, the legal guarantees and the best quality of work of data protection professionals.

We are living in an era of strong economic and political upheavals, in which the search for new ideological corollaries, more corresponding to contemporary reality and overcoming completely anachronistic nineteenth-century visions, is finding in data defense, as a manifestation of identity of the single individual within cyberspace, a milestone. The reinterpretation of the ancient concept of the National State, in favor of the concept of “sovereign digital space”, completely modifies the perspective of protection of the individual and therefore of the data professional and places this transversally within the various European labor law systems. Waiting for the various European legislations to be able to give full protection to the digital individual, in a manner not unlike the natural person, l’U.P.P. stands as an outpost of representativeness and as an interpreter of the new digital world, both in the external relationship, and in the relationship between the various professional figures, outside the corporations and professional registers proper.
